For nearly 2,000 years, the Pantheon has stood in continuous use, witnessing the flow of history. In this long-exposure photograph, I tried to capture the contrast between the permanence of the monument and the fleeting nature of human life. The blurred motion of people represents generations passing through time, while the Pantheon remains steadfast, bearing silent witness to changing eras, the rise and fall of kingdoms, and the ever-unfolding story of humanity.
Standing before a monument that has witnessed two millennia of history, I was reminded of the impermanence of so many things we carry with us, our worries, our struggles, and even our triumphs. Time moves on, generations pass, and the Pantheon remains.
